We want to set an example with our environmentally friendly projects and make sure that the products mainly are made ecologically and are also degradable. Listen to the chirping of the birds, the rustling of the wind in the treetops and enjoy the fresh, pure mountain air. Welcome to our beautiful nature. As hosts, we would like to inherit this feeling to existing and future generations. That is why we take care to treat our nature with respect and use the available resources thoughtfully. This year, we would like to give something back and encourage you, dear guests, to support us with our Green Forest project.
How to be a part of it:
With a donation of 10 € you can become a tree sponsor for a seedling, which will be planted in our beautiful hotel park or in the immediate vicinity. Just fill out a donation form or ask our staff at the reception for assistance. You can either enter your full name or donate anonymously.
At the end of the year, we would like to invite all tree sponsors to the official first visit of our small, new forest and toast to our wonderful nature. We would like to thank you for your awareness and concern for our forest.

Traditional Craft of Cheese Making
Inspired by the old recipes of Thuringian farmers, our restaurant offers you a wide selection of delicious and fresh cheese specialties. Great craftsmanship and refined production promise you a genuine and natural taste.
We are happy to invite you to try the cheese variations from our sheep's cheese dairy during breakfast and also visit the local shop in Dosdorf with selected regional dairy specialties for take away.

Electric Charging Station at Gabelbach
As we are committed to the topics of renewable energies and modern means of transport, we offer our guests three charging stations for electric vehicles. During your stay you can easily recharge your car with a charging current of up to max. 11 KW/hour.
To activate the e-charging station, please park your car at one of the stations, plug in and contact our reception team. We charge a flat fee of 15.00 € per charge. Charging your car is possible every day, except from noon to 3.00 pm.

Gabelbach Honey
What's better for breakfast than a fresh bun with golden-yellow, delicious honey?
Our Hotel Manager Mr Andreas Motter and our apprentice Chef Ben passionately run a bee hotel on our mountain meadow. A thousand little workers make sure that you can enjoy fresh Gabelbach honey every day. Of course, our honey is also available in our hotel shop.

Gabelbach Chicken Inn
Behind our main hotel building you can find our chicken hotel, which is home to our long-stay poultry “guests”.
The hens of various breeds always provide us with fresh eggs and ensure that we get up on time in the morning. They are out in the fresh air all year round and can peck and cluck freely among our fruit trees – being a joy for both young and old. When winter comes, they can retreat into the warmth of their chicken coop.
As our special service for you, we are very proud to offer you fresh eggs from our own chicken hotel every morning.
Our breakfast team will be happy to prepare fresh omelettes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs and boiled eggs for you.
Local Meat from “Naturfleisch GmbH”
That can still be seen at Naturfleisch GmbH Rennsteig in Oberweißbach. Together with Fleischrind GmbH Oberweißbach, the company combines the entire process from raising the cattle up to producing the final steak as well as the best Thuringian sausages all in one place. That is why the butcher's shop provides us with fresh goods almost daily, so that our chefs transform into a culinary delight for you. While staying with us, you can always enjoy delicious pork and beef from our region.
